My dream is to train and look after dolphins and other marine mammals, but I have no idea how to go about entering this field. I have seen internships being advertised on various marine center websites, but they all seem to want you to have prior experience. I've found "Animal Care" courses (really focusing on small mammals) at collages like Aberdeen, but cannot find anything to do with training rather than care. Do you need to start off with animal care before moving on to specialise in animal training? And do you do general animal training before moving onto marine life? And where can I find animal training courses if actual centers want you to have previous experience before going to them? I live in Scotland and would prefer to start off doing the courses and such here in Scotland also (as if it is a course the fees will probably be covered), although I know most centers taking on internships are in the US and Australia (which is where I would ideally like to end up with an internship/job) Help will be greatly appreciated as I really have NO idea how to navigate this!...
